Absentees are always wrong, the saying goes. What remains of opera without its singers who carry it with their full voices?

Everything!

Because it is also the role of the orchestra to carry the composer’s music.

Whether the audience praises their performance with applause or condemns it with boos, yesterday’s and today’s audience often focuses their attention on the leading roles, paying little attention to the libretto or even the music.

We intend to rectify this injustice here and rehabilitate all these unheard beautiful melodies…

For this Opera program, there are no divas, coloraturas, or baritone-martins, but a quartet of clarinets with multiple voices that does justice to some of the most iconic pages of the lyrical repertoire.
